Q. Can I get the vaccine if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

It may be offered if you’re at high risk and the benefits outweigh the risks. Please consult our pharmacist for individual assessment.

Q. Do I need a booster?

Yes – for ongoing protection, a third dose is recommended after 5–12 months, and boosters every 3 years if you remain at risk.

Q. Are there alternatives to the vaccine?

There is no treatment for TBE once infected. Avoiding tick bites and getting vaccinated is the best protection.

Q. Can children get the TBE vaccine?

Yes – children over 1 year old can receive the vaccine if travelling to high-risk areas.
